Alaska Airlines Alters Partnerships with LATAM and Singapore Airlines

Alaska Airlines’ Atmos Rewards loyalty program is undergoing significant changes that may affect frequent travelers. This shift comes as LATAM has been collaborating with Delta Air Lines, which is actively expanding its market presence at Alaska Airlines’ hub in Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).

On the other hand, the changes affecting Singapore Airlines are less abrupt but still noteworthy. While Alaska is not completely severing ties with the Southeast Asian airline, many of the benefits that made the partnership appealing will be diminished. Tickets purchased through August 31 that are operated by Singapore Airlines will continue to earn Atmos Rewards points at the existing accrual rates, regardless of the travel dates. Members can still earn points for new reservations made on or after September 1, but only for journeys completed by December 31.

Looking ahead, for any tickets booked after September 1 for travel beyond December 31, Atmos Rewards members will only earn points if the booking is made directly with Alaska Airlines. Meanwhile, Singapore Airlines will continue to operate flights to and from Seattle, albeit with reduced earning potential for Atmos Rewards members.
