Alaska Airlines has recently revamped its loyalty program, Atmos Rewards, introducing exciting new features for its premium credit cardholders. Among these perks, Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite® Credit Card holders can now indulge in complimentary cocktails at select Alaska Airlines lounges, enhancing their travel experience.

The Atmos™ Rewards Summit card offers a range of benefits designed to attract and retain premium travelers. While the elevated bar program may not be the primary reason to sign up for this credit card, it certainly adds an appealing touch to the overall package. Alaska Airlines operates nine airport lounges, primarily located on the West Coast, with one exception at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). These lounges provide a serene escape from the bustling airport environment, especially with many having been recently opened or renovated.

Historically, Alaska lounges have offered a selection of beverages such as tea, specialty coffees, and soft drinks, alongside a fine selection of West Coast wines and beers. However, the introduction of a mixologist-curated drinks menu marks a significant upgrade. This new offering features seasonal cocktails crafted with premium spirits, elevating the lounge experience for cardholders.

Among the standout cocktails is The Summit Sunset, a unique bourbon-based drink made with Woodford Reserve, available exclusively to Atmos Rewards Summit cardholders. Non-alcoholic options, including the refreshing Citrus Bloom and the zesty Spiced Mule, are also available.

Currently, this elevated bar program is being rolled out across all three Alaska Lounge locations at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), with plans to extend it to all other lounges by October. Cardholders can enjoy these offerings at no extra cost—simply present your Summit card, whether it’s the physical card or the digital version on your mobile wallet, to the bartender. If you’re traveling with a companion, they can also enjoy a complimentary drink from the lounge menu.

For those who have yet to apply for the Atmos Rewards Summit card or are waiting for their card to arrive, there’s still an opportunity to enjoy some of the elevated bar options for a nominal fee: $7 for non-alcoholic drinks and $9 for premium cocktails.

Access to Alaska Lounges is available to lounge members and travelers flying Alaska or Hawaiian Airlines in first class on paid or award tickets for flights longer than 2,000 miles. If you don’t hold a lounge membership, day passes can be purchased for $65, with military personnel eligible for a reduced rate of $35. Additionally, Atmos Rewards Summit cardholders receive eight complimentary lounge passes each year.

While the complimentary cocktails may not be the sole reason to apply for a premium credit card, they certainly enhance the experience for those who do. As a frequent Alaska flyer based in Seattle with elite status for over a decade, I have often chosen other airport lounges that offer more upscale amenities. However, the recent renovations and new menu offerings at Alaska Lounges may entice me to revisit on my next trip.
